Leave
Staff apply leave against their balance, plan duty cover with OTP-verified substitutes, and submit into the clerk → HOD → principal chain.
Live today for staff: apply with half-day support, cover planning, OTP verification, drafts, and approvals. Leave Administration configures types and cycles.
The path on the live product, not a brochure funnel.
Balance
Check remaining days per type on the active leave cycle before you apply.
Dates
Pick leave type, dates, and morning, afternoon, or full day (half-day minimum).
Cover
Plan substitutes for each lecture and proctor slot inside those dates.
OTP
Request and verify one OTP per substitute. Submit stays disabled until every cover is verified.
Approve
The application moves clerk → HOD → principal. Balance deducts on final approval.
My leave balances shows what remains per type. Applying requires enough balance for at least half a day.
Pick the leave type and dates, then choose full day, morning, or afternoon when the type supports half days. The form does not invent entitlement the admin never granted.
The system builds a cover plan for lecture and proctor slots inside your dates. Pick an eligible professor with a free period at that slot.
Request OTP per substitute, share it, then verify. Submit for approval stays disabled until every cover is OTP-verified. Save draft once a cover plan exists if you need to resume later.
Submitted leave enters the approvals inbox: clerk, then HOD, then principal, scoped to the department.
Pending leaves do not show on the department calendar. Approved leave appears as away, with duty coverage visible and personal reason kept private. Cancellation of an approved leave raises another approval ticket.
Programmers define leave types, yearly cycles, entitlements, and adjustments on Leave Administration. Every mutation opens an approval ticket.
Balances show opening, accrued, carried, and used per person per type. Nothing becomes live until the configured approver decides. Staff apply against that policy; they do not rewrite it.
