Fees
Accounts define fee types as data, build a structure per cohort, then issue scholarships and penalties so the student ledger shows a real net payable.
Live today for Accounts: Fee Types, Fee Structure, Scholarships, Penalties, and the per-student fee summary.
The path on the live product, not a brochure funnel.
Types
Create active fee type labels. Structures reference those types as line items.
Structure
Scope a structure by batch, course, and semester. Add amounts per fee type.
Seed
When a student is admitted into that cohort, mandatory items copy onto their fee record.
Adjust
Issue a scholarship or a penalty against the student and semester.
Net
Total payable, paid, and outstanding stay on the same student ledger Accounts already opens.
Fee Types holds code, name, description, display order, and active state. Structures pick from that list.
Tuition, hostel, lab, and other heads stay reusable categories. A type already used on a structure is protected from a casual delete.
Fee Structure scopes batch, course, and semester, then adds line items from the fee type list with amounts and due dates.
Keep types and structures aligned before students pay. Scholarships and penalties stay in their own sidebars; they do not overload this sheet.
Search by college roll or name, pick a scholarship type and semester, set the amount, then issue the award.
Pending awards wait for approval. Once approved, they belong on the same fee record the student pays against.
Search the student, pick a penalty type to pre-fill its default amount, override if needed, then issue.
Penalty types live under Accounts. The issued row shows on the student fee activity with scholarships and payments.
Accounts opens the student and sees total payable, paid, and outstanding, plus fee items, payments, scholarships, and penalties.
Mandatory structure lines copy when the student is created for that cohort. Later awards and fines adjust the net without a second book.
