Hostel
Students book a hostel, floor, and room for the open session. Occupancy stays on that booking. Hostel fee heads sit on the same fee ledger Accounts already runs.
Live today: student hostel booking by gender, floor, and room; session-scoped occupancy; hostel fee types on the student structure.
The path on the live product, not a brochure funnel.
Session
Booking opens against the college session that is in BEGIN status.
Hostel
The student sees hostels that match their gender type.
Floor & room
Pick a floor, then a room that still has capacity under students-per-room.
Booking
Submit once. A second booking for the same open session is blocked.
Ledger
Hostel fee is a fee type on the cohort structure. It lands on the same student record as tuition.
The student loads the open hostel session, chooses a hostel for their gender, then a floor and an available room.
The booking stores hostel, floor, room, and session on the same StudentModel the college already registered. One open-session booking per student.
Each floor carries total rooms and students per room. A room rejects a new booking when that capacity is reached for the open session.
Rooms can mark AC status and lock state. Occupancy is the count of bookings on that room and floor for the session still in BEGIN.
Accounts adds Hostel Fee (and Hostel Fee AC when needed) as fee types on the cohort structure, the same way as tuition.
There is no separate hostel fees book in the payment flow. The resident is the admitted student; the amount owed sits on that student's fee summary with everything else.
